I was born and grew up in Yokohama. I used to work in Tokyo for more than 20 years. I became the National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter in English in 2013. At first, I had attended a volunteer group which provided a tour of the Imperial Palace East Gardens until 2015. I guided more than fifty times in the garden as a volunteer and studied about Japanese history and culture. Based on this experience, I became a tour guide of this online site in 2015. Since then, I have guided more than 500 tours in Tokyo as well as Yokohama, Kamakura, Hakone, Kyoto, Nikko, etc., while improving my tours. “Fantastic Guide”
Vikki was great from the start. Good Comms and tailored an itinerary for us. Kept in touch all the way until the meet day and it was a wonderful day, thanks to Vikki's detailed knowledge. Very easy to talk to and knows all the best spots! We went to the big Buddha, my wife had a go at playing the instruments thanks to a friendly chat Vikki had with the performers. We took the local bus back into town and adapted the itinerary to include a shopping stop before going to the cider factory for lunch. We capped it off looking around the Nebuta Museum looking at the incredible floats, before being escorted back to our boat. I would thoroughly recommend Vikki anybody visiting the Aamori region.
“Nagasaki day tour”
Yoshi was very helpful in setting up the tour for us including telling us which trains to take from Hakata since Nagasaki was a day trip for us. She was very flexible in the scheduling of the sights and also, gave us recommendations of what to see. We went to the Atomic Bomb Museum, Oura Cathedral, Inasayama Observatory and the 26 Martyrs memorial. Yoshi was very informative on all of these sites and also, gave us more insight to other things we saw along the way. Noriko was also very helpful finding a lunch restaurant that could accomodate our son's food allergies. We were very happy with the tour and would highly recommend her.
“Re-connecting with Relatives in Wakayama”
We are Sansei (third generation Japanese American) from California and wanted to reconnect with Wakayama relatives that we lost touch with once our grandparents had passed away. Noriko was very helpful before our tour and helped coordinate a meeting with our relatives. She also was tremendously helpful translating for us while we met with our relatives as we cannot speak Japanese. Noriko was very understanding of what we wanted to do and was very flexible in arranging our tour so we could learn about Wakayama and also, spend time with our relatives. It was a wonderful reunion and we were so thankful to have Noriko as our guide.
