Question:
What is the difference between Noh and Kabuki?
Answer:
Noh developed in the 14th century and had been supported by samurai class which was the high class in Japan. Unnecessary things were cut off and finally it became very sophisticated and simple in the movement and the stage-set.
On the other hand, Kabuki developed in the 17th century, supported by the common people.
It tried to look more fun and finally the action and make-up have become very "Ogesa (大げさ)".
