Friendship

Why do Japanese people have friendly feeling to American after the World War II, although they had severly destroyed many cities?
Answer:
Because Japanese admitted that US had advanced technologies and sophisticated culture. Also, many Japanese might have a gratitude to American for not to discontinue the Japanese Imperial family.
